This beautiful woman paid me a visit this week and it was a delight. It’s been over a year since we’d spoken but felt like it was yesterday. That’s how you know it’s true friendship…time doesn’t dampen anything. Kohleen is getting ready to have her second child in a couple of months and I just can’t believe that it’s been five years since she was married and over 15 since we met back in our Yale days. I thought I would share her wedding album with you today in honor of her visit (and because that visit reminded me of how perfect this album turned out). Since my blog got wiped out last year, I’m going to be posting the album spreads from my favorite past weddings and sessions mixed in with my current work, so though some of you have seen these images before, it’s been a while and it’s nice to have them online to reference for future clients who are wondering what a specific location or style looks like.
We shot Kohleen & Josh’s engagement session along the Provo River Trail and at the provo library. We did their blacktie session at their first apartment, around the historic part of Provo (because if you know Kohleen at all, that’s exactly her vibe in life), and at the Provo Temple, where they were married. The day we shot their blacktie session the roses were perfect at the temple, but the day they were married they were gone. So you should always keep little details like that in mind when planning your session. We can make the most of your wedding day locations when we have mulitiple days to utilize them. Their reception was held in her parents back yard and it was so relaxed and vibrant. I can still picture the sunshine streaming over the fence behind their historic wedding dress display and the excitement in the air when Josh whisked away his new bride. Kohleen’s goodbye face will forever be etched in my mind. That day was SO worth the wait as will be their newest little one, Alden. Nothing makes me happier then seeing my bride and grooms become parents, even for the second time. Each child is a whole new experience and adventure. Trust me. I know! And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
